Fire Props

Fire props are flow tools that have kevlar wicking. This allows them to be dipped in fuel so that they can be ignited. We do our best to carry all the most common fire props used by flow artists and performers globally. This would include staffs, dragon staffs, poi, rope darts, fans, and palm torches.

Fire Spinning has been gaining popularity worldwide. Although it’s still a niche relative to other performing arts, it’s one of the most sought after performance types in the world. The most common fire prop performances you’ll probably see are fire poi and fire staff although now many smaller props are gaining popularity for indoor performances.

Fire props generally either have knotted wicks or flat wicks. Flat wick props are the most common and affordable, whereas knotted wicks have beautiful designs and compact weighting. Refer to our blog post about this topic here. Additionally, read more on how to maintain your fire prop wicks here.

Make sure you have a good quality fire prop if you choose to start your fire journey. Some lower quality props are made of alternative wicking materials other than kevlar which is NOT RECOMMENDED. If you’ve never spun fire before, please refer to the Fire Safety Guide.
